Lexington

This past weekend our family enjoyed a fun trip to Lexington. As a Christmas gift, Andrew bought us tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Lexington Opera House. I LOVE musical theatre! My good friend Cheryl bought a house in Lexington recently and invited us to stay with her, and even offered to watch Asher. We were beyond grateful!

We had a nice dinner with Cheryl and Lauren (another good friend from high school), and then went back to the house and got Asher ready for bed before the show.

Fiddler on the Roof was amazing! The music was especially good, and even though musicals aren't as much his thing, Andrew really enjoyed himself.

After the show, it was late, but we were hungry, so we grabbed a bite at the ol' Waffle House. Ah, memories... it was fun to reminice about our college days when we would go there late to eat and study together.

The next morning, we went to visit my Grandma White at her nursing home in Versailles. She is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, so didn't recognize us, but she was so pleasant, and we had a great time chatting with her. Such a nice weekend together. :)
